RESEARCH ACTIVITY:
Following the discovery of the Similaun man she has coordinated with Bernardino Bagolini,with the purpose of giving a more correct interpretation to this exceptional finding, the special project “The mummy of Similaun and the firts metallurgy in the Alpine area: ideological-cultural implications” promoted by the Dipartimento di Scienze Filologiche e Storiche of the University of Trento together with the Institute of Prehistory and Protohistory of the University of Innsbruck. and the Superintendence for Archaeological Heritage of Bolzano. She moved for the the placement of such (?) discovery in the Tamis-Isera5 group. Presently she is coordinator of the Project “The territory of Trentino in the time frame of the Holocene: climatic variations and human populating” promoted by the Dipartimento di Scienze Filologiche e Storiche and cofunded bye the Autonomous Province of Trento. She also collaborates to the oriented Research project “The smoothed stone between Neolithic and the Bronze Age.” coordinated by professor Claudio D’Amico, and to the project “Feuchtbodensiedlungen in Ă–sterreich” promoted by the Ă–sterreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften and coordinated by dott.ssa Elisabeth Ruttkay of the Natural Science Museum of Vienna. During her researches she has directed and codirected surveys and digging activities wich were intended especially to the esteem of mesolithical, neolithical and calcolithical sites in northern Italy-e.g. La Vela (TN), Riparo Gaban (TN), Isera la Torretta (TN), Sasso Rosso (Val Senales – BZ). Since 1996 she has been directing with dott. Luciano Salzani the archaological excavations in the open-air site of Lugo di Grezzana (VR) attributable to the culture of Fiorano.
