RESEARCH ACRIVITY:

Since 1991 he has excavated and directed dozens of archaological digs in Northern Italy (Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Trentino, Lombardy and Piedmont) , Central Italy (Marche) and Southern Italy (Sicily) and in the Sultanate of Oman (region of the Ja’lan).  He also deals with the study of the ancient Neolithic in Northern Italy (stratigraphy, structures, spatial distribution). He carries out activities of Experimental Archaeology on the formation processes and filling of Neolithic substructures; Experimental Archaeology  with prof. Gheorghiu (University of Bucharest) of reconstruction,  fire and dig of a hut of the final Neolithic; Experimental Archaeology on the results of the bustle activity in the archaeological deposit; territorial analysis of the settlement processes of the hunter-gatherers in alpine environment, in collaboration with dott. Grimaldi; revision of the documentation of excavation of the multi-stratified site of Riparo Gaban and of the Firs Neolithic of Lugo di Grezzana.  He has supervised the dig of KHB-1 (Ra’s al-Khabbah), in the Sultanate of Oman, he co-directs with prof.ssa Pedrotti the digging of Grotta Perciata, in San Vito Lo Capo (Sicily) and he carries out struttural-stratigraphic consulting in the site of Hergla, in Tunisia (Sebkhet Halk el Menzel).
